About us
A San Mateo HVAC Company That Starts With the Diagnosis
OzoneLine HVAC Services is a San Mateo company focused on three things: repairing air conditioners, repairing heating systems, and installing new AC. When you call, we start by finding out what your system is actually doing. A technician tests the equipment, explains what failed and why, and walks you through your options before any work begins. If a repair makes sense, we say so. If replacement is worth considering, we explain the tradeoffs plainly, including how current Bay Area rules and incentives might affect the decision. We serve homes across San Mateo and nearby Peninsula cities, from older houses with original ductwork to newer construction.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I have to replace my gas furnace because of the new Bay Area rules?
No. The Bay Area Air District appliance rules don't require you to replace working equipment. They apply only when an existing furnace fails or is replaced. If your furnace is running well, you can keep repairing and using it.
What changes for furnace replacements in 2029?
Under Air District Rule 9-4, natural gas furnaces manufactured from 2029 on must meet a zero-NOx emission standard. In practice, that points homeowners toward heat pumps when a furnace is replaced after that date. If your furnace is aging, it's worth thinking about this before it fails.
Can I still get the federal tax credit for a heat pump?
The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (25C) covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025. It isn't available for new installations after that date.
Are there local incentives for heat pumps or electrification?
Bay Area homeowners can check BayREN and their local clean energy provider for current heat pump and electrification incentives. Amounts and availability change with each funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer before including it in any quote.
How do you decide whether to repair or replace my system?
We start with a diagnosis. Then we look at the specific failure, the condition of the rest of the system, and how it has been performing. We explain what a repair would involve and when replacement might be worth considering, and you make the call.
What should I check before calling about an AC or heating problem?
Make sure the thermostat is set to the right mode and temperature, check that the breaker for the system hasn't tripped, and look at the air filter to see if it's clogged. If those look fine and the system still isn't working, give us a call.
